New dome placed on Soccer Pavilion
Work Continues........
Work continues on the soccer complex on Pine Mountain Road. There are two fields at the complex. A larger field in the front (100 yard x 60 yards) and a smaller field on the back of the property (80 yards x 50 yards) The scoreboard was installed by the electricians union in late September. The remote controlled system is state of the art and fabulous.....Thanks to all those who worked on the scoreboard.
Turf
The turf on both fields is maturing nicely. Water systems have been winterised and we await fencing in the spring. We give much thanks to Zach at Timberstone golf course and Rich at Pine Grove county club for all their imput and help in the maintenance and guidance toward two of the highest quality fields in the area.
Spring
We will pick up in the spring with fencing and gravel for the parking lot.
Who will Play
Currently a committee of Church members, SAY soccer representatives, local soccer organizers and professional groundskeepers will make the decisions as to who will play on the facility and when. This facility was designed to be utilized for games. It will have to withstand traffic from hundreds of children daily. This committe will try to meet all the soccer organizations of the communities needs while placing a priority on maintaining the quality of turf.
Currently the committee is 2 representatives of the church, Tom Sullivan (Northern Stars), Zach (Timberstone), Rich (Pine Grove) and Buck Gussert (SAY).
